Message from the Chairman

As a leading household appliance group, FagorBrandt brings comfort and a better quality of life to consumers in over one hundred countries worldwide. Its line of eco-aware brands, products and services is renowned for its quality, ease of use, affordability, and modern design.

The Group's brand portfolio is one of the most comprehensive and consistent on the market, covering every segment and catering to every consumer requirement and expectation, from the most simple to the most demanding.

Following a year of restructuring in 2006, FagorBrandt is now on target to reach clearly defined objectives set by the reorganised Group and for increased competitiveness. The ongoing support of the Fagor Group has allowed FagorBrandt to consolidate its leading position in France.

2007 will be a year of concerted effort. And while Josu Ugarte, Chairman of the Board of FagorBrandt, is realistic, he doesn't hide his ambitions. "We are counting on growth of +8% on international markets and +9% for France, excluding small domestic appliances. Although +9% growth on the French market is clearly a very ambitious objective, export figures exceeded +15% in the early part 2007."

FagorBrandt's 2007 strategy is based on four cornerstones:

• Synergies - Exploit the synergies with Fagor in innovation and purchasing policy.
• Excellence - Make excellence the motor for growth at every level of the business.
• Development - Make the De Dietrich brand the catalyst for growth.
• Agility - Provide a better response to the needs of consumers and distributors by adapting to the specific characteristics of local markets. By being bold we have already been able to exceed our objectives, for example, by incorporating small domestic appliances into the Fagor brand and in September 2007 launching a new range of small domestic appliances under the Brandt brand.

"FagorBrandt has a huge competitive advantage with its flexibility, brand portfolio, and a competitive industrial tool that is perfectly suited to the market. We must exploit and develop them to maintain our leading position as N° 1 in France and Spain. Undoubtedly, 2007 will be a year of success that crowns all our efforts".
